Mrs. Goodwin is a former Judge of the 427th District Court of Travis County (2007-2008) and a former Judge with Precinct 3 in Travis County (2003-2006). She was appointed to the Judicial Ethics Committee for the Judicial Section for the State Bar of Texas (2004-2006).  Mrs. Goodwin has served on the Texas Judicial Council, developing policy and legislative recommendations on behalf of the Texas Judiciary.   In addition to working at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals for eight years, Mrs. Goodwin has also worked at the General Counsel’s Office at the State Bar of Texas in the field of attorney discipline, (1988-1990), and currently represents businesses and individuals in general criminal matters, civil litigation, and licensing, permitting and other administrative disputes before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Department of State Health Services, City of Austin, Lower Colorado River Authority and other licensing and regulatory agencies.
